Hey everyone,
First off, I want to say a quick sorry for the recent silence—my girlfriend and I are currently in the middle of purchasing a house, and as you can imagine, it's taken over everything for the moment! Thank you for your patience and continued support. I will try to get back into regularly posting, and I have a bunch of images to share from a trip to Amsterdam last year, and from Venice this year, on a range of film stocks.
Now, onto the exciting film updates:
Kodak Vision3 35mm Restock Incoming
The full range (50D, 200T, 250D & 500T) will be back in stock very soon! Keep an eye on the website for availability. I have decided to listen to some feedback, and something that I have personally wanted to do for a while for all of the 35mm film, but I have had an issue with one of the suppliers, so I made a small test order with another company and they were able to do it with no issues, so I am waiting on a refund from the first company, and then placing an order with the other company.
Cinema Film Pricing Update
Due to changes in Kodak's policies, sourcing these films has become increasingly difficult. As much as I’ve tried to keep prices as low as possible, I’ve had to adjust accordingly—moving forward, 35mm Vision3 (50D, 200T, 250D, 500T & XX) will be priced at £8 per roll.
It’s never been my goal to hike prices unnecessarily, and I’ll continue doing everything I can to keep film affordable. This is something that I have been trying to avoid since the beginning of the year, but with the changes from Kodak, I have had to find different suppliers, or use my normal supplier but at a price hike. Thanks for understanding!
Noir Collection (120)
A small batch of Noir in 120 format will be available soon. Depending on how well it goes, it could become a staple offering—so if you’re interested, grab yours while it’s around! I will put them up on the website, Monday morning and will share on my instagram and on an email newsletter when they go live. It is small batch, but if it sells out quick, I will set up a Pre-order for those stocks and get more in soon.
Noir in Large Format – Testing Underway
We’re still in the early days of testing Noir for large format, but things are looking promising. Test sheets are out with a few trusted photographers, and once results come in, I’ll finalize packaging and pricing. I am still trying to work out the best way to package them, so if anyone has any suggestions, I am happy to hear them. I have sent out some 4x5 to a few photographers, and I have a batch of 8x10 to shoot, which I need to find the time to do so.
For now, I’m aiming for 100 sheets per box in both 4×5 and 8×10 formats.
Bulk Rolls – Noir & Maverick
These are still in development! Light-tightness tests need to be completed, followed by some trial rolls to ensure quality. I have had a few tins that I need to check if they are light tight, so I will be doing some tests with that. One thing I need to look into is that because Noir and Maverick are both thinner than your usual film, it may be possible to fit more than 100ft into a normal 100ft bulk loader. So, I need to see what the limit could be which means they may be rolls of 150ft, and you can make more rolls out of them in your normal 100ft bulk loader.
Once everything checks out, pre-orders will go live on the website—stay tuned.
Thanks for sticking with me through all these updates! Your support makes all of this possible, and I truly appreciate it
